As we already saw in a
previous article
, it is possible to install games ported to Linux on our beloved R36S. This time we will install a great title: Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which can be found on
Steam for €1.99.
The installation instructions on PortMaster are incomplete, but there’s no need to worry as in this article I will explain the procedure in full detail.
We access PortMaster and install the port:
Options -> Tools: PortMaster
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
We copy the required game files:
cp ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Return\ to\ Castle\ Wolfenstein/Main/pak0.pk3 /media/kr0m/EASYROMS/ports/iortcw/main
cp ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Return\ to\ Castle\ Wolfenstein/Main/sp_pak1.pk3 /media/kr0m/EASYROMS/ports/iortcw/main
cp ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Return\ to\ Castle\ Wolfenstein/Main/sp_pak2.pk3 /media/kr0m/EASYROMS/ports/iortcw/main
cp ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Return\ to\ Castle\ Wolfenstein/Main/sp_pak3.pk3 /media/kr0m/EASYROMS/ports/iortcw/main
cp ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Return\ to\ Castle\ Wolfenstein/Main/sp_pak4.pk3 /media/kr0m/EASYROMS/ports/iortcw/main
We launch the game:
Ports -> Return to Castle Wolfenstein
